The browser detect question type (listed as "Map/browser detection" in the question type picker) captures the browser the respondent is using and the operating system. As that dual name suggests, the same question type can optionally present an interactive map for respondents to mark a location — the mapping half is covered in the section below.
When the mapping services option is activated, a map interface becomes available to respondents. For Google Maps functionality, a valid Google Maps API key must be entered in Configuration → Global → General → Google Maps API key.
Respondents can use an interactive pin tool to select specific locations directly on the displayed map.
