Create a Survey Group

Survey groups in LimeSurvey help you organize multiple surveys into logical categories — such as by department, campaign, or topic. This is especially useful for teams managing many surveys at once.

This allows an administration user to create a survey group. By default the user is the owner of the group. The owner has all permissions for the groups he owns.

once the create a survey group option is clicked, the page below appears.

(4) Complete the following fields and Save.

• Code: Type in the name of the survey group;
  
• Title: Type in the title of the survey group;
  
• Description: Type in a short description of the survey group;
  
• Sort Order: Helps you organize the order of the survey groups within a parent group;
  
• Parent: Choose the survey group that will be the parent survey group. The parent group option is used to ease the edit of template-related options of a high number of survey groups via a few clicks.
  

Add Survey to Group

To add surveys to a group once you have created it:

(1) Go to the General settings tab of a survey. 

(2) Click the arrow in the Group field to display a list of survey groups. 

(3) Select the survey group and Save.
