Exporting Questions and Responses

How to export questions and responses

A survey's structure (its questions and groups) and its responses are exported separately. Responses can be exported in several formats (CSV, Microsoft Excel, PDF, SPSS, R and STATA among others) for statistical analysis.

Steps to export questions (survey structure):

  1. Open the survey in the editor.
  2. Open the ... menu at the top right of the editor.
  3. Under Tools, choose Export. The submenu offers Survey structure (.lss), Survey archive (active surveys only), queXML format (.xml), Tab-separated-values format (.txt), and Printable survey (.html).

Steps to export responses:

  1. Open the survey and select the Results tab in the top bar of the editor.
  2. (Optional) Choose Responses list in the sidebar to browse the collected responses first.
  3. Click the green Export results button in the top bar.
  4. This opens the classic export screen (currently being replaced). Choose your format and completion state, then select Export.
