Is my survey data in LimeSurvey Cloud encrypted?
We are very concerned about security. Your survey/response data is stored in a separate database with a separate user name/password for each LimeSurvey Cloud instance. The connection is encrypted if you are using SSL connections (that is the default — visible by https:// prepending your survey links).
In the application, the user passwords are always encrypted. For each individual survey, you can choose which part of the survey is encrypted, this includes all participant data as well as all questions.
Additionally, we create daily backups of your LimeSurvey data. That data is at rest and encrypted, stored safely on a different server, but at the same hosting location.
