About the Share step

Share is the step where your survey reaches people. You activate the survey, decide who may take it and bring participants to it: with the survey link, a QR code, social media, an embed on your website or personal email invitations. Open it with Share in the top bar of the editor, next to Editor and Results.

The survey collects responses only while it is active. You can prepare everything on the Share page before you activate.

The Share page

1. Share: the tab that opens this page.
2. The left toolbar: the list icon opens Share survey with Sharing overview and Participant lists. The gear opens Sharing options with Customize preview, QR code and Embed survey.
3. Survey language version: in a survey with several languages, the language the survey link opens in.
4. Select how you want to share your survey: the access mode, the survey link with Copy, and Customize link.
5. The QR code: Download QR code saves the code as an image for posters, flyers and slides.
6. Share on social media: Facebook, email, LinkedIn and X.
7. Embed survey: show the survey on your own website.
8. Participant lists: your participants, their access codes and the email invitations.

• Share your survey link: copy the link, give it a readable address, QR code and social media.

Participants and invitations

• Create a participant list: add or import participants and give them access codes.
• Send invitations and reminders: email every participant a personal link.
• Edit the email templates: the texts of invitations, reminders and confirmations.
• Get your invitations delivered: keep invitations out of the spam folder.

Can I share the survey before I activate it?

You can copy the link, create the QR code and prepare the embed code at any time. Participants can take the survey only after you activate it.

Where is the sharing panel of the survey summary?

In LimeSurvey Cloud 7, all sharing options are on the Share page. Click Share in the top bar of the editor.

Where do I see the responses?

In Results in the top bar of the editor. See Overview: Results.
