Survey Permissions

Survey Permissions

Overview

Survey permissions let administrators give a user access to a specific survey without granting global system permissions. This is useful for specialized roles such as translators: instead of access to all surveys, a user can be allowed to edit only the surveys they are assigned to.

How to Access

In the survey editor, open Survey permissions (the people icon) in the left icon rail.

Note: Survey permissions opens the classic administration screen, not one of the new editor's autosaving panels. Your changes are only applied when you click Save.

Grant a Permission

  1. Open Survey permissions for the survey.
  2. Choose the person from the User dropdown and click Add user. To grant access to everyone in a user group at once, pick the group from the User group dropdown and click Add group users.
  3. In the permissions table, tick the survey permissions each user should have and click Save. Permission entries include Survey, Survey settings, Survey content, Survey activation, Survey security, Survey text elements, Responses, Statistics, Participants, Quotas, Assessments, and Quick translation.

You can also add a user straight from the workspace: open the "..." menu on the survey card and select Add user.
