The survey list is where you manage all the surveys in your LimeSurvey account: create new ones, open existing ones for editing, check whether a survey is running, and see how many responses it has collected. Open it any time via Surveys in the top navigation (from inside the editor, the "..." menu calls this list the Workspace). The top navigation also contains Help and Configuration, plus a response counter and a storage counter for your plan.
The survey list is your Workspace — the page you land on after logging in (its URL path is /dashboard/view). Each survey appears as a card (card view) or a row (list view) — switch with the view toggles at the top right. Above the list, Last visited survey and Last visited question quick links take you straight back to where you last worked. Every entry shows:
To create a new survey, click the Create survey button.
Each survey card or row has a "..." menu with these actions: General settings, Preview, Share, Copy, Add user, and Delete.
Switch to the list view (the list icon at the top right) to select surveys with checkboxes and use Edit selected surveys for bulk actions. The list view also shows sortable Survey ID, Status, Title, Created, and Responses columns, plus a Search box and a Group filter.
Click a survey to open it. It opens in the survey editor at the Structure view (/editor/#/survey/<id>/structure), showing the welcome screen, your question groups and questions, and the end screen. From there you edit content directly on the canvas, reach settings through the left icon rail, preview with the eye icon, and launch with the green Activate button. The Editor | Share | Results tabs in the top bar switch between building the survey, sharing it, and viewing responses (Results is greyed out until the survey is active). Changes are saved automatically. Links to the older admin URL (/surveyAdministration/view?surveyid=…) redirect into the editor.
In classic LimeSurvey, opening a survey first landed on a "survey overview" page — a summary of the survey's URL, status, start/end dates, and response counts, with the survey menu alongside.
The new editor has no separate landing page: opening a survey takes you straight into the Structure view described above. The overview information lives in the top-bar tabs instead. The Results tab opens a Results overview with four counters — Total responses, Full responses, Response rate (%) and Incomplete responses — plus a "Responses (last 30 days)" chart, a completed/incomplete breakdown, and a response table. The survey link lives on the Share tab's sharing overview.
If your screen looks different — a top toolbar, a survey menu down the left, and a summary page when you open a survey — you are using the classic editor. The same information is available there: the survey list shows the same columns, and the overview details appear on the classic survey's landing page — see Survey Overview Page.
