About List image select (Radio)

List image select (Radio) shows each answer option as a picture. Participants click one picture to choose it. Use it when a picture says more than a word: a logo, a product, a color or a design. For several pictures per participant, use Image select multiple choice.

The chosen picture gets a filled radio button in its corner.

Add a List image select question

1. Click the purple + in the top bar. The question type picker opens.

2. Under Single choice, click List image select (Radio). The question appears at the end of the current question group.

3. Click Your question here and type your question.

4. Each answer option shows a box with NO IMAGE. Click the box and select a picture from your computer, as PNG, JPG or GIF.

5. Add answer below the last picture adds another option.

Tip: Use pictures of the same size and shape. The pictures stay readable on phones and the layout stays calm.

Settings that matter

Select the question to open its settings on the right.

• Mandatory (Simple tab): On requires a choice and removes No answer.
• Other (Advanced > General): adds an Other: option with a text field.
• Hide tip (Advanced > Display): hides the tip Choose one of the following answers.

How the answers are stored

The answer is the code of the chosen picture, for example A001, not the picture itself. Give the codes a meaning you recognize in the export, or keep a list of which code belongs to which picture. To see the codes in the editor, switch on Question codes under View in the ... menu at the top right.

Can I show a label under each picture?

The picture is the answer option, so there is no separate label. Put the words into the picture itself before you upload it.

Why does my picture show NO IMAGE in the editor?

No picture has been uploaded for that option yet. Click the box and select the file.
