About Image select multiple choice

Image select multiple choice shows each option as a picture with a checkbox in its corner. Participants click every picture that applies. Use it for designs, products, places or anything people recognize faster by sight than by name. For one picture only, use List image select (Radio).

Add an Image select multiple choice question

1. Click the purple + in the top bar. The question type picker opens.

2. Under Multiple choice, click Image select multiple choice. The question appears at the end of the current question group.

3. Click Your question here and type your question.

4. Each subquestion shows a box with NO IMAGE. Click the box and select a picture from your computer, as PNG, JPG or GIF.

5. Add subquestion below the last picture adds another option.

Settings that matter

Select the question to open its settings on the right. The picture settings are under Advanced > Display.

• Fix height and Fix width: the size of the pictures in pixels. By default the pictures are 200 pixels high.
• Crop or resize: Resize shrinks the whole picture to the size, Crop cuts off what does not fit.
• Keep aspect ratio: keeps pictures from being stretched.
• Horizontal scroll: shows the pictures in one row that participants scroll sideways.
• Minimum answers and Maximum answers (Advanced > Logic): require at least or at most a number of pictures.

How the answers are stored

Exactly as for Multiple choice: every picture is a subquestion stored on its own, for example Q012_SQ001, with Y when it was selected. The export does not contain the pictures, so note which code belongs to which picture.

My pictures look too big on phones. What can I do?

Lower Fix height, or turn on Horizontal scroll so the pictures sit in one row.
