About the welcome screen and the end screen
The welcome screen is the first page of your survey, the end screen the page participants see after the last question. You write both in place in the editorial area. Click Welcome or End in the Structure panel to jump there and to open their settings on the right.
Set up the welcome screen
Click Welcome in the Structure panel. Welcome screen settings open on the right.
Click the survey title to change it. The title in the top bar changes with it.
Click Welcome description and type a short introduction.
Click Welcome message and type the rest: what the survey is about, how long it takes and what you do with the answers.
In Welcome screen settings, choose what else participants see:
- Show welcome screen: Off skips the welcome screen. The survey then starts with the first page of questions.
- Show "There are X questions in this survey.": shows or hides the line with the number of questions.
- Define and edit privacy details: opens the privacy policy settings. See Add a privacy policy.
Set up the end screen
Click End in the Structure panel. End screen settings open on the right.
Click Enter your end message here. and type your end message, for example a thank you and what happens next.
In End screen settings, fill in End url, a web page of yours that participants can go to after the survey, and URL description, the text of the link.
With both filled in, the end screen shows your URL description as a button that opens the End url.
Send participants to a page automatically
To skip the end screen and open the End url as soon as participants finish:
- Click the paint bucket icon in the left toolbar and then Presentation.
- Under Navigation, turn on Automatically load end URL when the survey is complete.
Tip: Language, date format and decimal mark of the survey are in the same place, under Language specific display.

How do I skip the welcome screen?
Click Welcome in the Structure panel and set Show welcome screen to Off. Participants then start with the first page of questions.
How do I send participants back to my website after the survey?
Enter your page as End url in End screen settings. To send them there without showing the end screen, turn on Automatically load end URL when the survey is complete under Presentation > Navigation.
