This article covers two common billing questions: how to get an invoice corrected (for example, to add a VAT number), and how student, teacher, and charity discounts work.

Getting an invoice corrected

If your invoice shows the wrong billing address, is missing your VAT number, or names the wrong legal entity, we can fix it. This is a routine process and it is free.

There is currently no field to add a VAT number during checkout. Getting the invoice corrected after purchase is the normal path for now.

To request a correction:

1. Contact our support team through the corporate support contact form.
2. Send the exact corrected billing details in writing:
   • The full legal name of the company or organisation
   • The complete billing address
   • The VAT ID, if one should appear on the invoice
3. Include your original invoice number so we can find the purchase quickly.

What you get back:

• A credit note that cancels the original invoice.
• A corrected replacement invoice with the details you provided.

Please copy the billing details exactly as they should appear on the invoice. This avoids a second round of corrections.

Student, teacher, and charity discounts

Discounts are available for:

• Students: 50% discount
• Teachers: 30% discount
• Charitable organizations: 30% discount

How to get the discount

1. Before you buy anything, send proof of your eligibility to support. Examples of accepted proof:
   • Students: an enrollment certificate or student ID
   • Teachers: proof of a current teaching position, for example an employment letter from your institution or a valid faculty ID
   • Charitable organizations: your charity registration or constitution
2. Support verifies your proof, applies the discount to your limesurvey.org account, and confirms when it is active.
3. Make your purchase. The discount is then applied automatically at checkout — you do not need to enter a code.

Important: discounts are never retroactive. We cannot apply a discount to a purchase you have already made.
